Penny Richardson

is a professional Horse Portrait Artist with over 25 years experience.

She has painted horse studies in gouache, pastel and oils. She has been commissioned to paint racehorses, hunters, a police horses, ponies and domestic horses of all kinds.

She has also been commissioned on numerous occasions to paint horse and rider especially in the hunting field.

She painted the Cottesmore Hunt at their opening meet at Preston Lodge that was bought by the late Sir Henry Tate.

A deposit of £50.00 is required before starting a painting.

If we need to travel a considerable distance then a larger non refundable deposit is required.

The remaining balance is to be paid before posting.

Horse Portrait

Chestnut - Horse Portrait Painted in 2006.

Chestnut was a commission from near Cold Overton on the Leicestershire and Rutland border.

If you do not have the photograph's then we will travel out to meet the Horse and take some professional photographs.
There may be a fee depending how far we need to come.

We always bring a laptop & download the photo's taken so that they can be viewed and then discuss and choose what kind of painting would be preferred.
